The Klon Jr. has all of the functionality of the classic Klon Klone, but comes in a smaller casing to allow added room on your pedal board.
PedalMonsters Klone- Based on the legendary Klon Centaur, the PedalMonsters klone is the pedal that put us on the map. It's still our most requested pedal and for good reason. It works well with just about any amp/guitar and sounds great no matter what setting. Essentially the klon is a overdrive/boost pedal that can do just about anything.

PLEASE NOTE: Our klone operates on standard 9v and is true bypass. Not all 9v are created equal and we would strongly ask you to not just randomly plug a 9v into the klone otherwise you risk damaging your pedal. We would recommend using a 1spot/VoodooLab PP as it must operate on strictly 9v and 100ma.
Also, since each pedal is built to order, please expect a 7-14 day lead time for our elves to build the pedal for you.

Recording Swiss Army Knife

I am not a tone expert so bought this based on all the glowing reviews but not expecting it to turn me into Jeff Beck.
I record guitar tones as part of larger arrangements for stage plays. The arrangements aren't about guitar solos but about creating an atmosphere or vibe.
My setup is small wattage tube amps fed through a Rocktron RockCrusher into a variety of single speakers mic'd in an isolation cabinet. Currently I am using an H&K amp set clean with flat EQ.
The Klon becomes a super flexible preamp sitting on the recording desk. The three knobs cover an incredible range of drive, thump and tone. Occasionally I will reach over to tweak something on the H&K amp, but mostly I just sweep through the range of the Klon controls to find the vibe I need. Very quiet and flexible.
Mostly though, it sounds great and inspires me to play with touch and expression. I did a whole afternoon shootout with my other half dozen boosts. The Klon beat them all particularly in the area of touch sensitivity.

Best Overdrive I have heard in 40 years

I have roughly 12 ‘overdrive’ pedals, and I am comparing this pedal to those. Many of the pedals fall into the ‘D’ as in ‘umble' class of pedals.
Only one pedal, the Pedals Effects Klon Klone Jr. (I have the jr version it is space wise), does what a true ‘transparent’ overdrive is supposed to do but rarely achieves - and it does so without stamping a sonic signature on your amp or sound. It simply adds to the quality of your tone - I have it turned on all the time when playing clean - it adds so much without adding anything. If you like your clean tone, this pedal will make it better (I use it with a Traynor YGL-which is vintage reissue). If you want to add just a bit of saturation to your clean sound this is the answer. It stacks beautifully with other OD pedals. If you are looking for something like I have outlined above, you cannot go wrong with this pedal.

Great Klone, as good as any and better than most

I've gone through a bunch of Klones, most of the popular ones, including a KTR. This is as good as any and takes up a lot less space. Only way I could be happier is if I'd swung for the quiet switch. I planned on using it as an always on tone enhancer but I love the way it boosts so much that's how I'll end up using it.

The pedal came in today... and it's a dream!
This is really a fantastic overdrive.
with all the knobs on zero and just adding volume, I could not hear the difference in sound with the pedal on or off. The adding of gain is so natural and the higher gain setting are really creamy and lovely. After the clean Fender amp, I also tried it with a dimed Marshall jtm45. It works like a charm as an extra boost, sending your marshall over the cliff.
you really can't get a bad tone out of it! I love it
shame it doesn't vacuum the house or make me a nice pot of coffee, for the rest.... a dream!

Great boost, and tone control

Ordered this pedal based on side-by-side comparisons. Regardless of how it compares to the "real deal", which BTW held its own, this pedal adds soem very nice tonal dimensions.
It works well as a clean boost, and really kicks in my overdrive channel as well. The clean boost works well as a true boost, but with slight adjustments you can dial in some subtle enhancements to your tone.
Solid pedal. Great sounding. Am struggling not to use it all the time.

Every time I play with this pedal a multitude of women come to listen. This happens even when i'm playing in my apartment. My wildest dreams have come true.
It's a great pedal with amazing. Very transparent and pairs well with my other overdrive pedal (madprofessor sweet honey). You can't beat the price and it's got a freaggin' centaur painted on it. One of the best klones i've ever played.

I just received my Klon yesterday (in Belgium) and by chance it was the rehearsal day with my band.
I put it in the pedalboard with boost settings and what i just can say is that the sound is fantastic, solo's are now flying !! I love the pedal !
